[Kili nods and sniffles a little, wiping at his eyes with the back of his hand. Fili and Dis will be worried sick, but at least he'll be able to put their minds at ease soon enough. He's with Thorin, he's safe.
The hair ruffle makes him smile a bit, and he finally looks up at his uncle, gratitude in his eyes. He knows how Thorin works; touches and smiles are how his uncle shows his feelings most often. So maybe Kili isn't quite so unwanted here.
Getting to his feet makes him wince a bit, but at least they're clean now and less likely to get infected. He leans forward and wraps his arms around Thorin's neck.]
